Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson realized that there was never a second chance once they got together in their Hamburg church. Ashley was just 17, and had never had a relationship with a man prior to that. They took the relationship extremely slow. But, it was romance at first sight. Andrew was praying for Ashley on New Year's Eve just before the new year began in 2016, to God would give him one last blessing in the year. Then, Ashley would get married to him. Ashley was keen to have the wedding with a folk-inspired wooden theme, as it represented Andrew as well as her. The couple incorporated a bit of everything they loved for the wedding day. Ashley was born on 40 acres. Ashley and Andrew played, explored, and hiked the whole trail that led to the place where they said "I do" in Ashley. Andrew and Ashley were walking through the same place when they started engaged. Since the wedding was essentially DIY, personalization was an important role. Andrew and Ashley's father designed the arch for the ceremony and seating, while Ashley was in charge of decorating and painting. Ashley says that with Anna's stunning floral design the wedding would not be as beautiful and romantic as I had imagined. It's truly amazing.
